Ever since going cruelty free I’ve had that niggling feeling that some of the stuff I was using just still wasn’t actually cruelty free. I’m looking at you, products from The Body Shop that seemed to make up most of my skincare. No matter how hard I try, I cannot for the life of me make that bottle of Tea Tree Facial Wash go down, and it feels like its taken an age to get through my Camomile Cleansing Butter. Both have worked wonders for my skin, which brings a certain worry that I just won’t be able to replace them and I’ll be back to square one- 23 year old girl with puberty ridden skin.
All the same, after some googling, a lot of Youtube videos and a fair amount of adding and removing from my Boots basket, I stumbled into the Metro and eventually picked up these two beauties from Soap and Glory, who are now wonderfully replacing both my Body Shop products.
This stuff feels a whole world away from my Sumptuous Cleansing Balm but actually, I really love it. It has the gorgeous Peachy scent with a hint of what I’m gonna call general Soap and Glory because all of their products have the same S&G scent to me, deep down. Peaches and Clean is more of a cream than a milk, but melts gloriously into the skin and though I’ve taken to removing my mascara before starting to wash the rest of my face off, I have no issues using it around my eye areas. I half expected due to the sheer strength of the perfume for my skin to act out, but aside from the ridiculous number of hormonal chin-spots (cheers, implant) I’m currently rocking, my skin seems to be loving it.
Soap and Glory Face Soap And Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Face Wash
Long name aside, I needed something to replace my perk-up tea tree face wash and this stuff has hit the nail right on the head for me. It’s a super refreshing face wash which really wakes my skin up – even leaving it just slightly tingly, post wash. Another bonus is the sheer size of the product- this will definitely last me forever as although the bottle says to use a grape size amount I find a much smaller dose goes the distance. I can be a little suspicious of facial washes as they can really dry my skin out and leave it feeling dehydrated, and although I have resumed using a moisturiser after this product it’s mostly just because my skin is so fresh and clean that moisturising no longer breaks me out.
What are some of your favourites from Soap And Glory? Are there any products I should be trying out?
